When I looked at you

I knew it was too good

To be true

As we sat and talked

You saw the real me

And I saw the real you.

When I called you,

That night

I was scared, terrified

And trembling inside

What you might say

When I asked you

If you would be mine

And come into my heart and stay.

We had a rough start

When we started going out

You were hurt

And disrespected

But I don't regret

Being with you

When we were both mistreated

Weeks have passed

And we started feeling

A physical attraction for each other,

When we expressed our love

It was exciting and fun

Because I got to share
