What Went Wrong?

Sabbath School was interesting

Divine Hour was a blessing

And AY was entertaining

Now Sabbath School is boring

Divine Hour is depressing

And AY is surviving

Church was something

Everyone showed up to

Now church is something Everyone drags themselves to get to

Preachers preach

What we know already

Instead of teaching

To encourage and get us ready

Church to people

Is not serous anymore

They just come to come

For fame, look better and a lot more

The Sabbath Day

Is supposed to be a day of rest

It's not supposed to be

A day of stress

Now the Seventh-Day Adventist Church

Is trying to survive, to win souls

Now that the church is at hand

We are trying so hard, before this all unfolds.

The members are trying

And approaching this the wrong way

They are forcing instead of praying about it

To put it in God's hands and let Him lead the way

What went wrong,

In church today?

Aren't we supposed to be, as Seventh-Day Adventists,

Leading the way?
